MADISON - Richard "Dick" G. Amelong died on Sunday, May 5, 1991, unexpectedly at home. He was born on August 1, 1936, in Monticello, Wisconsin, to Richard and Hulda Amelong. He worked for the City of Madison in the Traffic Engineering Department for over 30 years. He Is survived by his mother, Hulda Puttkamer of Montlcello, Wisconsin; a son James (Kristi) Amelong of Waunakee; two daughters, Julie (Bryan) Sipple of Middleton, Jo Anne Amelong of Mazomonle; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Heidi, Brandon and Taryn; also a special friend, Joan Ristey of Madison. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Amelong; his step-father Milton "Mel" Puttkomer and two sons Richard D. Amelong and Jay P. Amelong.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 1991, at 10:30 a.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave.; Father Ferdinand Mack will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 8, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm
