  Silvan F. Disch January 21, 1927 - May 12, 2019 Silvan F. Disch, age 92, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. He was born on January 21, 1927, the son of Fred H. and Anna B. (Trumpy) Disch on the family homestead outside Monticello. Silvan attended the Wallis School. On March 6, 1954, he was united in marriage to Avis Arneson at the Otter Creek Church in Highland, WI. Silvan farmed and was a fixture for many years at area farmers markets. He was a member of the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. Silvan is survived by his wife, Avis; daughter, Deborah; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and sisters, Ruth Flaherty, Helen Amacher and Pearl Bradof. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Avenue, Monticello, WI, with the Rev. Lance Smith officiating. Burial is in the Highland Cemetery, Monticello. Relatives and friends called from 10:30 am. until time of Services on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello. The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home of New Glarus is assisting the family.
