Schermuly

[Arden]

My great grandfather Johann Heinrich Schermuly (Schirmuhly) was born 8-8-1839 in Germany (Prussia, Bayern), his father's name was Heinrich, mother's unknown. I don't know when he emigrated to the USA but it was prior to 1861 because he fought in the Civil War. He lived in Brooklyn where he died in 1912. I have all USA information, now I need the rest, his parents names, siblings and where he was born. I believe he was Evangelical Lutheran. Thank you in advance, Arden
