Wiedmer in Kanton Bern

Deutsche Zusammenfassung folgt unten
Colette Orlandi asks
John Wiedmer m. Rosina [Scher] about 1874. They are both from Bern, Switzerland. They both came over to Laurel Co., Kentucky in 1884. They had 6 children, 5 of which were also born in Switzerland. According to the death certificate, Rosina's parents were John and Elizabeth [Zimmerman] Scher. John's parents were Wuster and Elizabeth [Ingof] Wiedmer.
Please advise the next possible way of searching for John's siblings and more about his parents.
Thank you very much for your help!
With just this information it's going to be difficult, as Wiedmer is a fairly widespread name in canton Bern - with citizenships prior to 1800 in: Arni, Buchholterberg, Diemtigen, Eggiwil, Ferenbalm, Langnau im Emmental, Lützelflüh, Münsingen, Oberburg, Rüegsau, Signau, Trachselwald, Trubschachen. In addition there is also Widmer, pronounced pretty much the same, with additional places of citizenship.

What about the other surnames?
Scher is not a Swiss name - most likely the correct spelling would be Schär - again quite widespread in canton Bern - amongst other places holding citizenship of Eggiwil, Lützelflüh, Rüegsau, Trubschachen (only places mentioned where also Wiedmer hold citizenship!).
Zimmermann (spelled with 2 N at the end)- again quite widespread in canton Bern - amongst other places holding citizenship of Buchholterberg, Lützelflüh (only places mentioned where also Wiedmer hold citizenship!).
Ingof is not a Swiss name - most likely the correct spelling would be Ingold - again quite widespread in canton Bern - but not with any citizenships coinciding with Wiedmer.
Whilst we are at spellings: I have never seen the given name Wuster - might also be a spelling problem.

What next?
Without knowing for sure where to look, it's difficult. Lützelflüh is a place of citizenship for 3 of the 4 families mentioned - might be an indication to start there. The Civil Registry Office responsible for Lützelflüh is the one in Trachselwald: ask them as first question only whether they can identify your ancestor on their register - and only if yes, what you are expected to do to get a Familienschein.
If that is negative, I'm afraid you'll have to look for more info on your side of the Atlantic first, as everything else would be looking for a needle in a haystack - unless you are lucky and someone reading this posting can help you.
