Seeberger von Lupfig AG

I am researching Heinrich Seeberger who was born probably in Lupfig in 1825 and married Sophia Amsler in 2 February 1849. I know that Sophia had a sister named Barbara and their mother was Barbara Schaffner Amsler. I am interested in information on either of these families but Seeberger in particular.

Heinrich Seeberger died 7 Feb 1912 and is buried in the United Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Schulenburg, Fayette County, Texas. He divorced Sophia, and married Barbara 17 Aug 1874 in Fayette County, Texas.

Peggy... thank you for your reply! I have a great deal of information on Heinrich Seeberger and his descendants in Texas. I am most interested in his ancestry in Switzerland and that of his inlaws, the Amslers. I do have copies of both Heinrich and Barbara's divorce documents as well as having visited the cemetery where they are buried. I also have copies of the church books from Philadelphia Lutheran Church/Cemetery.

I am interested to know if you are also a descendant of Heinrich? I made a great effort last year to contact every descendant I could find to invite them to a Seeberger reunion in Houston. We ended up with 70 people in attendance, some from as far away as Alaska.

My email is [removed]. I have a copy of his marriage to Barbara, also his naturalization record, an obituary from the newspaper and his civil war pension application. I will be happy to send all of it to you, if you do not have any of these items.

I will be happy to give my friend your information so that they may contact you, but her mother will be receiving this for a Christmas present, so she will not know about any of this until then.

Her maiden name is Lehmann, and she is descended through Heinrich and Barbara's daughter, Fredericka Seeberger.
