There is also a reference to Azmoos #939 for the same family, stating that Barbara was baptised elsewhere. This most likely indicates that she was born in Weite and baptised in Gretschins in 1862. Before 1864 the family moved to Azmoos, where Elisabeth was born and baptised.

In spring 1865 the family emigrated to America.

Paulus Rusch, 17 Apr 1787, "Steinsprenger" [quarrier] in Weite, was killed 10 May 1842 by a stone whilst working on it, near the "Ziegelhütte".

Lt. Gem. Prot. 1825, 26 Apr, war er und sein Bruder Christian (#647) im Zuchthaus in St.Gallen für Monate in Haft, die auf die Bitte der Familie abgekürzt wurde.

The two brothers (Pauli and Christen) spent several months in prison in St.Gallen; the sentence was reduced, following a plea by the family.
There is no reason given - neither is there any explanation why this would be mentioned in council minutes about a century later.

Waldburgla Ackermann "ab Kirentzen" (likely Kerenzen-Mühlehorn GL - which was split into separate communities in 1887. Ackermann are today listed as citizens of all three new communities, Filzbach, Mühlehorn and Obstalden.)

At least 5 children - inclunding Christen's (#353) sister Cathrina (28 Aug 1633 - 02 Jun 1692), second wife of the above mentioned Judge Hans Schön.
