Keller von Baden AG
I've had access to the Baden Kirchenbuch microfiche films through the LDS family library. My Keller family are all from Baden KT Aargau...lucky me!
I have found my gggggrand father Meinradus keller M 1715 to Maria Verena Wuer/wuess? I notice the keller names changing from Keller to Kellersberger the further i go back in lineage. So far not any connection to Ulrich Keller which many genealogy lines start. Does anybody have this person in the family tree willing to share info. i am acquiring dates, but cannot find occupations. If my kellers are really kellersbergers then that would indicate administrative positions.occupations. Any ideas about Meinradus keller family?
Meinradus Keller>Joannes Baptista>Caspar Keller>Bernard Keller.
All from Baden.
Thanks for any help!

Hello Sheila,
I suggest you also contact the Archives of the city of Baden. Perhaps they have additional material on the Keller or Kellersberger family, which both seem to be original families of Baden, i.e. lived there already before 1800. In any case, I remember that they are very supportive in these archives.

Hello Sheila,
it is good to have a larger section of the page to compare letters - but the critical word is towards the edge and not really sharp enough to be deciphered with confidence. I would say it starts with "Sauer...." - but then I have to give up.
Could you try to take an additional picture, concentrating more on this word (i.e. more close-up) and sharper?

Keller/Baden button clue
Hello,
I recently found a box of very old buttons..many look like military uniform buttons. One of the buttons is curious...see picture attached. Could this be a heraldry symbol for Baden, or /Canton Aargau? A uniform button of some type?
We have traced my line of Kellers back to the 1500's and I've also read and seen Keller heraldry that is familiar. Perhaps this is a Keller heraldry symbol? The following lineage of Kellers do not seem to be connected to other well established Keller/kellersberger families from Baden, but the swan and keys on the button might connect them to these Kellers.
Perhaps someone could help me decipher the heraldry images on the button? Maybe a clue as to my Kellers place in Baden.
1550's Hans Keller > Caspar Keller > Bartholomae Keller > Joseph Keller > Joannes Keller > Johann Baptist Keller > Caspar Heinrich Keller > Bernard Fidel Keller > Karl Ludwig Keller 1819 emigrated to U.S.
99% catholic. 9 generations. All from Baden.

Re: Keller von Baden AG
Dear Sheila,
Gruss Willy
