Regula Müller, the daughter of Hans Jacob Müller and Anna Gut, was born on 27.02.1797 and baptized on 05.03.1797 in Uitikon am Albis. She was married to Hans Rudolf Glättli of Bonstetten on 18.01.1819 (if I read the date correctly) in Zürich-St. Peter - see entry number 5 https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/epaper/PRD ... tml?pn=209.

Attachments (all records are in Uitikon am Albis):

1) The baptism record in 1797.

2) The marriage announcement. According to this record, the couple's wedding was on 18.01.1819, which I think is the same date that was given in the actual marriage record in Zürich-St. Peter. Note that Rudolf's surname is Blattli instead of Glättli, however, I think a "G" was written above the "B" which seems to have a line through it. The "A 68" after Regula's name is the same number as the page in the Haushaltungsrodel for her father Hans Jacob Müller.

3) The entry from the Haushaltungsrodel for Hans Jacob Müller. There is a note after Regula's name that mentions both her first husband Rudolf Glättli and her second husband [Johannes] Wismer with the page number 95, which refers to the entry for Johannes in the Haushaltungsrodel - see attachment below. This note is difficult to read and I would appreciate any help with the translation of the important parts of the note - thank you!

There is a short note after Regula's name that mentions her first husband Hans Rudolf Glättli and I would appreciate the translation of this note - thank you again!

Die durchgestrichene Notiz: dient bei Conrad Bosshard im Bosshardenhaus in Ringlikon seit Lichtmess 1813. vid. pag. 82 (?). Jetzt 1817 zu Affoltern.
Darunter: verheiratete sich nach Bonstetten mit Rudolf Glättli 1819 den 12. April. taufte man ihr ein Töchterlein. Nun wohnt sie im Altenhaus (?). Ihr Mann dient im Wirtshaus zu Altstetten. Verheiratet mit Wiesmer p. 95.

Hello Peter, thank you very much for transcribing the two notes. It's helpful to know that the info in the "short note" is in accordance with Wolf's contribution of 08.03. The other note has a few additional details, including the first part that is crossed-out and refers to p. 82 - see attachment. In this page, the son Johannes Bosshard born in 1809 has a very short note that mentions Regula Müller (this also seems to be crossed-out). Do you have any idea about the meaning of these crossed-out notes on pages 68 and 82?

The note on the right simply states that Regula Müller worked as a maid (Magd) in this house - which again corresponds to the entry in the Müller family record.

The 1828 divorce ruling was passed by the matrimonial court (Ehegericht) of the Canton of Zurich. In 1832, this special court was abolished after more than 300 years, as in several other cantons, and replaced by the district courts. Unfortunately, these rulings are not (yet?) available online, even though they are of great genealogical and historical interest.

Hi Peter, I see now that the crossed-out note in the entry of the Bosshard family record corresponds to the one in the Müller family record. As you pointed out, the rulings of the matrimonial court are of great interest to family history researchers. I think that possible information in these court documents as related to the divorce of Regula Müller and Hans Rudolf Glättli in 1828, could make available an interesting story about them.

According to the entry in the Haushaltungsrodel (page 68), Hans Jacob Müller's wife Anna Gut gave birth to four children, however, there are two gaps among them. I checked the baptism register and didn't see a child born to this couple during the first gap between 1793-1797. There are records during the second gap between 1799-1807 for three children who I think were stillborn or died soon after birth (I can't read all of the words in the records). I'm pretty sure they belong to this family because the father in each of the three records was described as either Wirth or Alter (or both), which Hans Jacob Müller was known as in the baptism records of his other children in born 1797 and 1799.
