The information that Wegmüller data are kept in Walkringen is not quite correct - to be more precise: is out of date. Canton Bern has re-organised the Civil Registry Offices a few years ago: no longer does each community have their own office, instead there are now district offices. To find out which district office is looking after a specific "Bürgerort", check the list provided by the Kanton Bern administration: whilst the page is in German, it should not be too difficult to find the only entry field on the page, type in the name of the community, and click on "suchen". For Walkringen this will result in this information - again in German, but you'll easily identify the e-mail address.
Then a comment on "Anna Eberle von Aeugst" : Aeugst will most likely be Aeugst am Albis, canton Zürich, although this is not listed as Bürgerort for Eberle; actually, Eberle are not families in canton Zürich at all (before 1888) - see Occurences Eberle in Switzerland.
Some general information on Swiss Wegmüller families has been compiled on Occurrences Wegmüller in Switzerland - including a reference to Wegmüller of Walkringen, though only a line living in Wikartswil/Oberdiessbach. As it might be difficult to get hold of this publication from the library, I recommend to contact the author, Waber Heinrich Christian in Oberdiessbach - you'll find his address in the telephone directory.

Wer kann weitere Angaben zu den Wegmüller von Walkringen machen?

I know from previous correspondence with Larry, that his greatgrandfather Jacob, son of Johann and Anna, was born in Baar in 1879; he emigrated to America and got married in 1910 in Iowa.I'm researching my Wegmüller family in Switzerland. A gentleman was kind enough to do a lookup for me and found my ggreat grandparents were Johann Wegmüller and Anna Eberle von Aeugst. Johann was a shoemaker in Baar, Canton Zug. This gentleman also told me that the Wegmüller records were held in Walkringen, Canton Bern. Can anyone tell me of the address of the Administer in Walkringen? I would love to find my "Familienschein". Any help would really be appreciated.
