Note: the image of the full page was too large to attach, so I removed some of the entries for both years 1728 and 1729.

Starting point was the date of birth of Wilhelmina Suter (a very common name ) in "Zürich" (likely somewhere in the canton). The hope was that her marriage in Chicago was reported back to her and her husband's place of citizenship - so her place of citizenship would be recorded in her husband's records back in Lutzenberg AR … unfortunately this was not the case. But there was a record in Lutzenberg about a Suter of Stäfa getting married to a women from Chicago in 1904: Heinrich Suter, born 25.05.1868, of Stäfa, got married in Bauma in 1904 to a women returning (as a widow) from Chicago. This was recorded in Lutzenberg only because his father lived in Wienacht (which belongs to Lutzenberg) … one just has to be lucky … a connection between these Suters seemed plausible. Actually Wilhelmina Suter's baptism was recorded in Stäfa: This baptism was recorded in Stäfa as her parents' place of citizenship - although it had taken place in Aussersihl (since 1893 merged with the city of Zürich): https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/epaper/PRD ... tml?pn=165.

Albert Suter and Katharina Wilhelmina Hirzel, the parents, got married in Stäfa on 18.07.1865: At the time Albert Suter lived in Oberhausen, part of Stäfa.

There are a few possible records for a Rosa Zust that I found in Chicago. Does the 1904 marriage record for her mention her birth place?

No - just that she is from Chicago - and now living in Wienacht (which belongs to Lutzenberg) again.
However, I don't think info on her will help with the Suter question: she married a likely relative of Hans Suter - but related how far back? Suter is a very(!) common name in that region - could be a few generations back. The marriage record refers to an entry in the Bürgerbuch (not online) - I hope we can get useful inforamtion from that.
Thank you for your efforts and best regards - Wolf
