Hans Jacob Haÿ who married Maria Glück in Sersheim, Wuerttemberg, Germany 12 Jan 1662 is described as the son of Jos.. (Joseph?) Haÿ, born in Fischenthal
[corrected: Hinwil], Zurich, Switzerland. Does anyone have information regarding a family named Haÿ or any possible variant in or near Fischenthal. In the church book of Sersheim at this time Meier appears as Meÿer, Kaiser as Kaÿser etc.

None of the spelling variations Hai / Hay / Hei / Hey is mentioned in the Register of Swiss Surnames as an old Swiss name - nor is any of them mentioned in the Zürich Marriage Register.
Do you have a copy of the church record and could post it here?

The name seems to be read correctly: Hay or similar, the writing with the two dots on top of the "y" was normal for that time.
But the origin of the groom is not correct; he come from Hinwil and not from Fischenthal.
