GENEAL-FORUM

Hallo,

Ich suche Informationen über meiner Familie in Deutschland.

My great grandfather, called Robert Scheibe (born 06/aug/1906 in Sachsen) emigrated to Brazil in 1911 with his parents and siblings. His parents were called Carl Scheibe and Anna Noock (or Novak), as I've seen in different sources. His documents only say he is from Sachsen, but it doesn't specify the city. Would anyone know where I could find some emigration information about 1911 departures?

Kind regards,
Phelipe

Hi Phelipe

Would anyone know where I could find some emigration information about 1911 departures?

for the departure in Europe you'll find the Hamburg Passenger Lists on ancestry and the Bremen Passenger Lists here
http://www.passagierlisten.de/

Do you know at which port they arrived in Brazil? Then you could look at the archives in Brazil which have the ship manifests for this port.

Did you already look for the Brazil Immigration cards on ancestry or familysearch? This cards have two pages, both with important information on it.

Regards
Svenja
