In 1711 4 ships left Switzerland with people who weren't wanted anymore because of their Mennonite beliefs.
On one of these ships, the Emmentaler ship, was a Hans Kohler from Wimmigen with his wife and 4 children.
It turns out he was from Wynigen (Emmental) and his surname was Kolar.
Hans Kolar's wife was called Anna Matthijs. They married 1-12-1699 in Wynigen (Kb 5, page 339).
At every entry Hans is called 'der jüngere' (the younger). They lived in Thaal.
Hans and Anna had 5 children before they left Switzerland, of which 1 died:
1- Jost (3-12-1700)
2- Tobias (27-8-1702)
3- Barbara (1-5-1704)
4- Verena (7-2-1706)
5- Elsbeth (29-6-1708)
All were baptized in Wynigen. (book 5)
On 5-12-1708 Hans Kolar der jüngere burried a child in Wynigen. (book 21)
The family arrived in Amsterdam in August 1711.
It says in Ernst Müller's book that the children were age 10 to 3 years old. Jost would have been 10 in August 1711, so it wasn't him who died. Elsbeth was 3 in August 1711, so it wasn't her either.
