Hallo zusammen,

ich bin auf der Suche nach der Herkunft des Martin Machry oder Machere, der am 26. Juli 1665 in Buch/Hunsrück heiratet und dort Synodalis war. Er stammt laut der Angabe im Bürgerbuch Buch/Mörz aus Jülich (ich vermute Herzogtum Jülich).

Nun gibt es in der Umgebung von Düren, welches zum Herzogtum Jülich gehörte, viele Angehörige der Familie "Macherey" und ich vermute hier einen Zusammenhang.

Kennt sich jemand mit dieser Familie aus und kann mir hier weiterhelfen?

I have always heard from my ancestors (machry) that this surname was written differently, MACHERE OR MACHEREY, from France.
In research we found many Machry in ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND.
In the past there have always been migrations from Scotland to europe.

I'm from Germany. In the documents for Martin Machry, the first of the name Machry in Buch, Germany, is stated that he came from the region of JÜLICH, Germany. And because there are many people of the name MACHEREY in this region, I am pretty sure that there are relations.
About the scottish relation, I'm not sure. Maybe there were not only emigrants from JÜLICH to BUCH, but also to Scotland?
