Hi Patrick,

My German is really bad so I'm answering in English. :)

A few hours ago, I stumbled upon a Finschi from Safien in 'Het Noord-Hollands Archief'. It's a Dutch archive for the province of North-Holland and it describes a record with information about:
  • Finschi, Conrad (1808, Safien, Graubunden, Switzerland)
There's supposed to be a document there about him, concerning his court-martial verdict from 1829. However, the related record leads to a document of 1102 scanned images ...

I'm trying to figure out how to find the right page(s) without having to scroll through each one of them ... Am afraid there isn't an index, nor any tags.

Regards,
Mars (Dutch, trying to find the origins of the Finschi that first migrated to Indonesia, probably from Switzerland)

An update.

Figured out which pages concern Conrad Finschi in the Noord-Holland Archieven.
There are two case numbers about him: 3010 and 3011. They are about his and Johan Koller's desertion.
The information can be found in images 182 to 227.

I suppose image 211 is the most interesting lead. It's an extract of his registration in the army, amongst which Bartholomeé is mentioned as his father. There's a lot more data on it but not everything is clear enough to read ... Can't make anything of his mother's name for example ...
