I am looking for Wichser family of Rüti GL. My grandmother Anna Wichser immigrated to USA in 1890 at the age of 25. Anna was one of nine children. She became estranged from her family, so we do not know much about her years in Rüti, except her father was named John, and was a market hunter in the Alps near their village.
Anna Wichser married Fridilinus Boesch in New Jersey, USA in 1898 and they moved west to Salinas California in 1902 when my father, Ferdinand was 2 years old. They moved to Baker County, Oregon, USA in 1912.
My father still lives in the area and he has just turned 103. Perhaps it is those good Swiss genes.
Anyone who can provide information about the Wichser family would be doing me a great favour.

Ich erforsche die Familie Wichser von Rüti GL. Meine Grossmutter Anna Wichser immigrierte 1890 in die USA im Alter von 25 Jahren. Sie war eines von 9 Kindern. Leider ging der Kontakt zur Familie verloren, sodass wir kaum etwas über ihre Jugend in Rüti wissen - ausser, dass ihr Vater Johann (Hans) hiess.
Anna Wichser heiratet 1898 in New Jersey den Fridolin Boesch; sie zogen 1902 nach Salinas (Kalifornien) - da war mein Vater Ferdinand gerade 2 Jahre alt. 1912 zogen sie schliesslich nach Baker County (Oregon).
Mein Vater lebt immer noch dort - inzwischen 103 Jahre alt.
