Now for the wifes' families:
- Luper is not listed in the Register of Swiss Surnames, nor is Halthusen a Swiss community. There are several Holthusen in Northern Germany, however - which might be an indication that Geisa Luper is not from Switzerland at all.
- Hagmann: this is an old Sevelen family - see Occurences Hagmann in Switzerland.
- Engler: this is a Swiss name - but more likely you are looking for Engeler, who also have been citizens of Sevelen since before 1800.
- Steinhorlin: again not listed in the Register of Swiss Surnames, nor can I find an obvious "correct" spelling for this name. Would be useful to view Christen's original baptismal entry. I'll contact a colleague researching Sevelen families.

As first answer I can confirm that Tischhauser have been citizens of Sevelen since before 1800 - see Occurences Tischhauser in Switzerland. The Sevelen church records begin in 1637 - so it's unlikely you'll find information on earlier generations there. Hopefully another visitor of this forum can add some additional information on the people already known to you.In my family tree I find the following names:
- Johannes TISCHHAUSER, baptised 24/01/1720 at Sevelen (St.Gallen), married about 1751.
- Geisa Bertha Engelina LUPER, baptised about 1722 at Halthusen.
I don't know where Johannes and Geisa married (in Switzerland or the Netherlands). A son of them was born in The Hague in the Netherlands.
The parents of Johannes are:
- Gallus TISCHHAUSER, born at Sevelen (St.Gallen), baptised 01/08/1676 at Hauptmann, married (where?) 04/02/1703
- Elsbeth HAGMANN, born about 1681 at Sevelen (St.Gallen).
The parents of Gallus are:
- Christen TISCHHAUSER, baptised 13/12/1642 at Sevelen, married (where?) 1674
- Elsa ENGLER, born at Sevelen?
The parents of Christen are:
- Hans TISCHHAUSER,
- Rosina (Trina) STEINHORLIN.
