I am searching for information on Wichser von Schwanden(GL).
Fredrik Wichser born around 1740/1750. And Ida Trumpi (1753-1828)

Dear reader,
My name is Roland Wichser and I am living in Holland.
I searched the web for my ancestors. And I found a lot of information including a coat of arms from captain Peter Wichser(1559).
On a marriage certificate we found in Grijpskerke (Niederlande)was written the birthplace of the Fredrik Wichser. He was born in Glarus ( no place of Birth in Glarus). He got married to Ida Trumpi on 9 march 1790 in Grijpskerke. He must be born around 1740 He is the oldest link in Holland and the only link to Swiss(GL). I hope you can help me find out where my great, great great ,great grandfather was born, and the rest of my ancestors.

I have added some general information on occurences Wichser in Switzerland - which may not be of direct help for your question, but does confirm that Wichser have been citizens of Schwanden since before 1800.

You'll find some general info on genealogy in Glarus on SwissGen, which includes a link to the "Kubly-Müller" (scroll down) - a compilation of genealogies of all Glarus (canton) families: this will very likely include your Wichser line of Schwanden. The State Archive staff will most likely not have the time to search for you, and unfortunately this collection has not been filmed by LDS; you may have to go to the Archives yourself, or hire someone to go there for you.

Roland Wichser aus Holland sucht Angaben zu seinem Ururururgrossvater Friedrich Wichser von Schwanden GL, der um 1740/50 im Kanton Glarus geboren wurde. Am 09.03.1790 heiratet er in Grijpskerke die Ida Trumpi (1753-1828).

Ich habe Roland Wichser schon auf den "Kubly-Müller" im Landesarchiv hingewiesen. Für Daten aus dem 18. Jahrhundert ist ja keine Bewilligung erforderlich - aber der Weg von Holland nach Glarus ist halt weit: könnte jemand anlässlich eines Besuchs im Landesarchiv vielleicht einmal kontrollieren, ob ein "passender" Friedrich Wichser gefunden werden kann? Roland Wichser wird im Gegenzug sicher gerne Informationen zu den Nachkommen in Holland liefern.

I did not find a Friedrich Wichser from Schwanden born 1740/50. But probably I found his spouse:
Itha Trümpy from Ennetbühls, born 24.10.1753. Daughter from Heinrich Trümpy, 24.12.1724 - 29.10.1808 (in Dordrecht, Holland).

Am 7 September 1832 stirbt in Egesheim, Tuttlingen, Baden-Württemberg, die 14 Tage alte Maria Anna, Tochter der Anna Wichser, ledig, von Schwanden im Canton Glarus.
