My Christina Wittwer geb. 1793-Trub. married Christen Antener.
She was daughter of Johannes Wittwer geb. 1752 - died ___?
married to Anna Schneider. I have no data for her.

Johannes's parents: Peter Wittwer geb. 1731-Trub. - died ___?
married to Anna Baechler 1731-1779.

Peter Wittwer's parents: Hans Wittwer 1700-Bremgarten BE - died 1746 - location unknown.
Hans married to Anna Badetscher - dates unknown

Hans's parents: Ulrich Wittwer (also spelled Widmer) geb. 1666
married Barbara Blum. I have nothing more on Barbara, do You?

Ulrich Wittwer geb Langnau-1666 . Is son ??? of
Uli Wittwer geb 1634-Trub married Margreth Danner

Wittwer is a fairly widespread name in canton Bern, including a citizenship (since before 1800) in Trub (in contrast to Langnau, where there is no citizenship for Wittwer mentioned in Familiennamenbuch). This is why I have separated your posting from the original thread.

Spellings were not really fixed before 1800, so to check for alternative spellings is always a good idea. There is no citizenship for Widmer in either Langnau nor Trub, however.

I have a timeline from Peter Wittwer 4. Nov.1731 and Anna Bächler 1731-1779
Peter's parents were Hans Wittwer and Anna Badertscher

I know, that Peter Wittwer had 10 Children. Two of them died in the Laupen Gefecht 1798

His son Bernhard Wittwer 27.1.1754-1839 was my 5grandfather .
