Thank you, Peter, for these interesting and helpful details. I find it a bit ironic that if the Baptisms of Hans, Gregorius, and Michael had not been reported back to Kulm and recorded in the parish register there it is very likely that there would be no record of their Baptisms at all!

Working with the Batterkinden parish registers, I found two women named Elisabeth Gerber, who might have been the wife of Hans Heinrich Huber.

1) Elisabeth was Baptised on 19 January 1634. Her parents were Niclaus Gerber and Catharina Scheidigger. They were married at Batterkinden on 15 January 1631. Elisabeth died in 1694, but I do not know if she died at Batterkinden or away from the parish.

2) Elisabeth was Baptised on 7 July 1637. Her parents were Niclaus Gerber and Barbli Buri. I do not know where they were not married, but it was not at Batterkinden. I do not know when or where Elisabeth died.

The Batterkinden parish registers can be accessed via the Canton Bern Archives website.

Der Name der Mutter dieser Elsbeth lautet Barbli Suri (vermutlich von Utzenstorf).
Auf der "Ehen-Datei" finde ich aber keine entsprechende Heirat.

Thank you, Walter, for checking for the marriage record of Niclaus and Barbli. I appreciate knowing the correct spelling of Barbli's last name. It is good to know her origins in Utzenstorf, too.
