deiser swei gehen ins ausland USA zwischen yahr 1835-1840 zu New Orleans, Louisiana oder Galveston, Texas. Melchior vas l4 yahr alt veleicht. Da der kommen zu Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA im 1842. Melchior auch er heist Eaton dort, nicht Iten.
Ich suchen kinder von Franz Paul Iten.
Auch wei gehts man von Zug zu USA IM YAHR 1835? bei der Rhine veilicht?

Iten are citizens of the following communities in canton Zug:
- Oberägeri (see here)
- Unterägeri (see here)
- Zug
Now - if your ancestors were born in Zug (the city) they were likely also citizens there, and I have no idea whether the Aegeri Iten and Zug Iten are related - so the two threads should be kept separate.
The von Moos bibliography lists:
Iten Albert: Die Anfänge einiger Zuger Geschlechter quellenmässig und namenkundlich darfgestellt (incl. Iten aus dem Kanton Zug und Schwyz), Zug 1956 - p.8-34 (Swiss National Library).
This might explain relations (or not) - but will likely not help you at the moment (the time period covered will be much earlier than your present search).
Unfortunately I cannot give any further advice, as Zug is not my region of interest.

8 Messages - | I found Franz Paul und his wife with their 14 children on the familysearch site. Franz Paul was born in Unterägeri and Barbara in Oberägeri.
I\'ve got many Iten in my ancestors, too, but I can\'t find a connection to yours at the moment. |

Darin habe ich schon meine Suchergebnisse präsentiert, die darauf hindeuten (wie auch
alle Hinweise, die mir eine andere Forscherin aus den USA aus dortigen Quellen angegeben
hat) dass es keineswegs sicher ist, dass dieser Barney Myron Eaton aus der Schweiz kam.
In the other thread above mentioned I have written my search results about this case
and all this (as also all facts found in US-sources that gave me another US-researcher)
leads to the conclusion, that it is not sure that the Barney Myron Eaton came from
Switzerland.

| Thank you for pointing this out, Svenja. According to the discussion you mention, we cannot be sure at all that the line in question were citizens of Zug - they may not even have been Swiss.
